Could you implement this: entering capturemode and start capturing in the background immediately by commandline? maybe by specifying and loading a previously stored capture-profile with all the settings which have to be configured manually? Auto-numbering the capturefile would be sufficient, but overriding the setting with a capturefilename on the commandline would be nice.

Another cmd-switch to stop the capture if no stop-condition was specified in the profile, so that capturing cannot stop on hotkeys (like ESC), because this could interfere when capturing desktop-demos...

I see a problem when there are multiple instances of VirtualDub, but I guess it would be wise to allow only one instance to enter capture mode...
