Ladies and Gentlemen,

i have the pleasure to announce that after years of waiting we will finally have the chance to get our hands on one of the best mediaplayers for Windows out there, the long awaited

'The Core Media Player' !!

Ludovic 'BlackSun' Vialle, probably one of the most talented Delphi programmers out there and my personal friend since more than 2 years, has finally succeeded in bringing this feature packed player to a development status that he likes to call RC1 ( Release Candidate 1 ). The player is freeware and will be available by tomorrow evening for download from

http://www.corecoded.com

the official player site, hosting the forum also.

While the basic player is freeware there will be a 'Pro' version also following later, providing fully licensed DVD playback for a very reasonable price. Almost the complete revenues form the player plus all donations will be invested into the financing of

http://www.corecodec.org

and

http://corecodec.com

the opensource platform targeted on audio and video encoding. The goal is to create a community of people contributing to a huge number of opensource projects, all focussed on video and audio and with a very strong intercommunication, thanks to a dedicated webboard.

While the official launch is expected for Monday late evening ( GMT ) from

http://www.corecoded.com

being the official site, it may happen i will ge the allowance to post a fw links to mirrors earlier here ... so stay tuned biggrin.gif !!

I have problems playing MP3 VBR files. Sounds very choped.
Very bad subtitles support. If subtitles don't have same name as AVI - you dont have posibility to chose subtitles.
